Graduate Developer required for our Clients software development team based in Lancaster, Lancashire.

We have 2 Graduate Developer vacancies available, and will consider all candidates with or without commercial experience. However, any knowledge or experience in C#, ASP.NET or WPF would be a strong advantage.

Working as a Graduate Developer your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Analysis and Design;

• Production of Software Systems to a specification;

• Production of supporting documents;

• Unit Testing, Code Review and Implementation Reviews;

• Version Control, Configuration Control;

• Liaising with software test team;

• Providing pre and post sales support;

• Identifying and fixing reported software defects;

• Escalating problems to Project Manager or nominated Team Leader;

• Providing advice on feasibility;

• Providing estimates for work in their domain;

• Mentoring new staff;

• Reports to Project Manager or nominated Team Leader;

• Production of application software systems to a specification;

Ideal Graduate Developer candidates will hold a degree (or equivalent) qualification in a computer related discipline, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Graduate Developer candidates with experience of SQL Server or Oracle and experience coding software would be advantageous to have.

Successful Graduate Developer candidates will be offered a starting salary of £16,000 per annum with increments following successful reviews over a two year period, which can increase the salary up to £24,000 plus benefits that includes 25 days holiday per year, pension, life assurance and private medical care.
